About This Position

The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is dedicated to the personal safety of all children. We are seeking an empathetic, and energetic individual to fill the full-time position of Bilingual Support Services Coordinator.

The Bilingual Support Services Coordinator is an entry-level position within our Support Services Team. The Support Services Coordinator, with guidance from the Support Services Managers, works alongside a team of coordinators to help support families and victim/survivors affected by online child sexual exploitation. This includes assisting those who connect with C3P through our youth-focused website, NeedHelpNow.ca, a space for youth to reach out for support if they are in crisis or need assistance following an incident of online sexual violence. This integral position relies on empathy, compassion, and a spirit of collaboration in supporting survivors and their families and helping to provide reassurance and guidance.

In this role you can make a significant impact on youth’s lives after a distressing or traumatic event, helping to give them hope, assistance in reporting online incidents when appropriate, and connecting them with relevant supports and resources to continue their care. Additional roles include assisting missing children services and working collaboratively with stakeholders across Canada to coordinate support for children, youth and families.

Requirements include:

  • University degree in relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in the social services field is considered an asset
  • Experience in the field of crisis support and intervention and assessment of high risk situations while working with children and/or youth in crisis
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex or sensitive information (oral, written and interpersonal)
  • French/English bilingualism is required
