Commit to Kids for Coaches: Foundational Information for Safeguarding Children from Sexual Abuse

Designed for adults who work with children, this 23 minute video is intended to support protective adults by increasing their understanding of the issue of child sexual abuse, the disclosure of sexual abuse and supporting children through a disclosure. Coaches will receive one professional development point toward maintenance of certification as part of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).

Commit to Kids for Coaches eLearning module

This online training empowers coaches and sport leaders with practical information to help them enhance child and youth safety in sport. Upon completion of this training and a successful knowledge validation test, coaches will receive three NCCP professional development points towards the maintenance of certification.

Commit to Kids – Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training for those Working with Children

A 2.5 hour online training is for individuals who work or are preparing to work or volunteer with children. This training results in a certificate of completion and covers the following topics: the definition of child sexual abuse, the grooming process, handling disclosures of child sexual abuse, the impact of child sexual abuse, creating a Child Protection Code of Conduct, and policies and procedures to protect children.
